All Metalsmiths' Body Jewelry is made with implant grade surgical stainless steel (316 LVW), which is the best material for body piercings.

Once the shafts are created, they are sanded, polished and hand buffed to eliminate any machine marks. This creates a much smoother shaft and is done to greatly reduce any irritation which in turn reduces chances of infection.

The high intensity cubic zirconia stones are hand set and not glued in. This means the stones will not fall out during normal wear and are guaranteed. (Stones that are glued in tend to fall out, especially when exposed to water.) The dangling charms set in sterling silver and are attached using a lead-free soldered "O" ring to help ensure the dangling charms won't be lost.

The shafts are 14 gauge implant grade surgical stainless steel, 3/8" long and externally threaded. The gemballs are 5mm in diameter.
